Loud clicking and pop when opening the pass door
This is really starting to bug me now... its been over a few weeks and I don’t know how it happened probably one of my friends slamming it too hard or opening it too wide and fast.. but the middle hinge (the one covered in rubber) is click and popping loudly when opening and closing the door. How can you fix this? Or make it stop making noise?
Any help would be awesome thanks,
Peter

I know I saw some intructions on how to fix this common problem. It's been a while and I know I posted them on this board at that time. I don't have time to look for them right now. See if you can find them. It was a cheap and fairly easy way to fix the problem as opposed to taking it to a dealer.
If vovlospeed bay 13 does not work try this one. It's the one I was referring to earlier. It was easy to find using a search.

Guys thanks alot, I know it probably wasnt hard to find, but I havent really taken advantage of the search feature yet.. even though I should. I appricate the help and I will have it fixed this weekend, and I might as well do both of the doors because I bet the drivers side will go back soon enough.
Thanks
Thanks
thanks for the link, very easy fix without welding and mine (98 XC) was broken at both spot welds, I substituted 4 hex head stainless sheet metal screws in place of bolts suggested and time will tell if good choice, was much easier
It sounds like you have a dead battery or a very loose or corroded connection of the battery cables (later is a low probabality but still possible). If loose or coroded take the cables off negative first, pour come coke on the connections are and rub with flexible finish grade sand paper, wipe clean put some elec grease on the connection surface and tighten.
When connecting back, connect the neg first. (most cars are negative ground and I am assuming you have a normal negative ground car). And it's true just a small problem no need to weld, most of the volvo car parts are expensive.
