Default Miles and gallons instead of kilometers and liters

I live in Argentina. We use kilometers and liters. My battery died after leaving it several hours with the key in the wrong position. I jump started the car and after that I realized that the instant fuel consumption indicator was showing really crazy numbers. The more I floored the throttle, the lower the number, instead of being the other way around. Then I checked out the km to 0 indicator and it indicated 220 when the tank was at showed 50 liters were in the tank. The correct value should be approx 400.

I am certain it is using US units instead of the metric system. Is there a way I can fix this without taking it to a dealer?

Thanks
Axel

Check your owners manual. There is a way to change it back. Not sure how though. I belive that it involves pressing the two buttons on the side of the display, the time set buttons.

Press and hold the hour and minutes buttons till it flashes and switches over. I believe thats how it is done.

I just got my car back from the body shop and the trip computer is back in kilometers. Go figure!

The clock was not right so I guess somebody jump started the car or they played with the hour and minute buttons.
