Default mini mystery

Okay have a 95 volvo. Now at first runs fine but, after say 30 -40 mins of running I get an occasional rumble. Honestly can't figure out what that can be. I was thinking it was my transmission fluid being low or maybe oil low but, anyone ever had this probelm?

Hello Strike14,

Welcome to the forum, I hope you find it helpful & enjoyable.

I myself have never had the kind of problem you have described. Does it always occur after 30-40min. of driving? With limited info, I can only suggest that you check the proper fluid levels & conditions (engine oil & transmission fluid, and coolant). If you could be more specific as to the rumble, we may be able to help you better.

Sorry I couldn't help you any better at the moment.

Need more info. Rumble? Where does it sound like it's coming from? Do you feel it in the steering wheel? Do you feel a loss, or surge of power? Anything in the pedals? Speeds when experienced? Frequency? Recent maintenance/neglected maintenance?

=)

I checked my fluids. Put some more transmission fluid and oil was fine. Still heard the rumble. It feels like it's coming from the bottom of the car. Latest maintenance was replacing brake pad which are semi metallic and putting in a new radiator.

If you did not use Volvo pads it is most likely your rear brakes. There is a shim kit available at the dealer for like $15 to help aleviate this rumble.
