I also have the ABS and Tracs light on. I am assuming that the tracs light is also brakes, since it is not AWD. I personally hate both thraction control and ABS. Is it ok just to disengage both by pulling the fuses. Or should I try and fix this. I never take cars to the dealer. Is this something I can fix myself, by replacing the computer? I have 180,000 miles on mine, but it seems to run great other than occassional valve ticking. Is that normal? Anyhow, this is my first volvo. I have always had nissans. Let me know if there is anything to look out for. My a/c does not work, and I don't hear the compressor cut on. Even if there was a problem with evap, shoulodn't you still hear the comp. cut on. The abs module is bad it is pretty pricey when the lights are on the abs is inactive.The valve noise try synthetic oil.If not then you will have to remove the oil pan and replace o-ring between the oil pan and block. Im not sure how to post a pic still trying to figure it out my self.But i think you can put it in your signature.If you are low on freon the low pressure switch wont let the compressor come on.Bye the firewall on the pass side in the a/c line there is a switch unplug and jump the wires together with the car running if it kicks on you are low on freon.If not then there is something else wrong. Let me know after you check these things out.
