i have a 97 850 t5 wagon everything was working great and I came to a stop and than took off and car started making loud noise would not go tranny will go in gears but wil not go and makes grinding sound and loud noise car has 134k on it.and what trans will work with my car

How are the CV axles? They are likely the problem.

all check them out now I hope its that because my tranny was shifting good and working 1 sec beofre

If you are lucky a CV axle popped out of the tranny. Can you read the errors? Is the arrow bulb in the cluster on?

 

You could also have a failed bearing. Try posting a video. It is rare for a transmission to have a failure and they almost never make noise.

 

no lights just abs light came on when it happened all make a vid with my phone today. the trans was working good every gear right before this happen that's why I don't know how it could be tranny but all makw that vid

Yikes!!

Is this an automatic trans? If so, ck the fluid for level, color, and smell.

By chance is this a manual? If so, your clutch is fried.

 

auto fluid is good just did a flush 1.5k miles ago and trans was working find I stopped at light than took off and half way through light something happen

 

He's got a broken axle.
