Need help installing charcoal/vapor canister 1995 850
The canister fell off my 850 while driving a week or so ago. My understanding is I can drive without the canister installed properly but that seems sketchy and having the lines/hoses that were attached to it just hanging there not attached to anything seems like an issue waiting to happen. It looks like there are (4) separate lines/hoses that connect to the canister. (1) on the bottom and (3) on the top. I need help determining which one is which and also one of the lines got ripped off completely. So I not only need to know where to attach that one to the canister but where the other end of the line attaches to on the car. One line will be from fuel tank, one from Vac, one from PCV, and i'm not sure what the other one is. I have a photo of three of the lines that are hanging from under carriage. I assume the big one in my palm is from the fuel tank? Any help appreciated. Thanks
Edit: In the final photo, is the cylinder type thing attached to the canister the shut off valve? If not, what is it? Does something need to go into this part?

Thanks tryingbe I appreciate the reply. My 850 is indeed a non turbo. The canister is different than yours. I think yours only has two connections. The diagram would be helpful but I cannot get under the car to trace the lines back to their origin and find out which is which right now. I was hoping someone could possibly help just by eyeing them.
Okay, I looked at my car. My car is a 1995 no turbo, 5 speed. The two small lines are distinguished most easily by size. On my car, they both go to vacuum ports on the throttle body, side by side. I am sure these ports on the throttle body are different, and it matters which one is where. The ports are on the bottom of the throttle body, unfortunately, and you can't see them. The smaller line goes into the port that is closer to the front of the car. All this stuff was made with hard plastic lines and rubber elbows which differ in size, so that it would be clear what goes where. On my car, there's no purge valve, and no vent valve, and no controls of any kind. Just the ports in the throttle body itself do all the controlling.
If you look at the picture posted by smith volvo, I think you can tell which line is bigger and which is smaller, and how they connect on that end. The smaller line goes to the top of the little hat, and the 2nd smallest line goes under the little hat. I could, with a periscope, look at the top of my canister while installed, but I have not done that.

P.P.S. That little vacuum reservoir on my car is hooked to a white line. The white line goes to a tee which is connected to a check valve, like any good vacuum reservoir should be. By vacuum reservoir I mean that other smaller tank that only has one line hooked to it.
