Default new 850 owner check in

Hi all,

I just bought a 95 850 turbo wagon with 101K. I have some question about this car.

what is the main different between normal 850 Turbo to T5 or T5R >>>>

1) are they using the same turbo?
2) what is the different on their suspension set up ( shock, spring rate. sway bar size)?
3) different ECU?
4) any different in brake caliper/ rotor size?
5) any different on the boost pressure between them

Also, anyone install an aftermarket boost gauges and where and which vaccum line I should "T" it?

thank you fro your help

From what I have read...

1995 850-Turbo is same as 1996 850-Turbo is same as 1997 850-T5.
1995 850-T5R is same as 1996 850-R is same as 1997 850-R.

Turbo is TD04HL-15G in all of these models.

1995 850-T5R and 1996 850-R has heavier suspension than 1995/96 850-Turbo.
1997 850-R suspension is same as 1997 850-T5 with optional HD suspension.

Boost is controlled electronically by ECU. 1995 850-T5R has OBD-I ECU. 1996/97 850-R has OBD-II ECU. These ECU(s) increase boost from standard 9.6 psi to 10.7 psi during wide open throttle for 10 seconds and then return boost back to 9.6 psi.

Again, this info is from what I have read. This info is debatable. I have not confirmed any of it.
