New 850r
hi. i just recently purchased a 96 850r auto. it runs really well. my only modds are turbo xs electronic boost control, witch is set around 13psi, due to the computer fuel cut, and an after market cia. i have a few questions. the first one is since i have a low budget to work with i was wondering if i could cut out my cat and weld in my own strait pipe (with the o2 sensor still in mind) to get better flow for my turbo. if i do go ahead and do this will i get a check engine light? Also, the famous BOV question. i like the stock cbv sound, but i want a better and louder sound. i see people running both cbv and bov. is this good or bad or is a bov even worth my time. i recently drove a s70 t5m with a turbo xs bov and the car seemed to drive fine with a great "puuusssssssh" i am looking for. any help would be great.

Alot of people are running Catless. Sometimes it will keep throwing a rear O2 code. Alot of people install spark plug non foulers between the rear O2 and the exhaust pipe to pull it back out of the air flow to help with the code.
You can run both if you want to. But when I install a BOV on mine I will make a block off plate and remove the factory CBV and run only the BOV.
