new issue, trans not shifting
you guys are getting tired of me by now im sure...
anyway, tonite i just went out for some burgers....
it is 20 degrees outside....
The car started off fine, but wouldnt shift out of 2nd gear...
but thats not the full description.....
It didnt want to engage the clutch until revs hit 2500ish.
Now, I put the shifter from D into 3rd and this cleared up the problem. It shifted threw all gears fine and the clutch engaged as it should.
This is the only time its happened. strange issue. any ideas?
I know I still have that trans code I need to look into. Need to figure out what sensor it is and possibly replace it.
I AM going to love this car....But its going to fight me 1st, lol

shifty
nitro- If these 850s we own have a kick down cable like my old 240 (God rest her soul) you might check that it hasn gotten hung up and has slack. On my 240 the cable was hung up on a bolt or something and it wouldnt shift past second gear. Unhooked it and all was fine. easy thing to check. Dave

Yeh, Im gonna do both when I get the time.
Would electrical contact cleaning spray and a tooth brushed be a good way to clean the PNP?
I should have the repair manual early next week. but it doesnt sound to hard to remove the PNP switch.
Hopefully will be installing a boost gauge today.
Wont be driving the car anway till the new fuel pump arrives.

thanx! that thread will help alot.
Looks like I will need to set aside a fair bit of time to do that job.
I have the fuel pump, main window switch block and interior light set as well as my OBD II reader all arriving this monday.
Hopefully by tuesday I will have a bunch of new parts installed and have it back on the road again.
