First off ... thanks for the great resource. I spent 5 straight nites reading the posts before I purchased my 96 855 T.

Question ... I noticed there is a sticker in the Driver's door jamb that says 'Driver Airbag has been Disconnected". The sticker looks like a factory Volvo sticker. Why would the airbag be disconnected? How can I find out if it is correct or if the airbag is functional?

Also .. it has 19" wheels that I want to sell ... if anyone is interested .. I will put a post up in the classifieds section later.

Never see that before but if you disconnect the Battery and remove the drivers Air Bag you can see if it is connected.

Maybe the previous Owner was really short and had the Dealer disconnect them.

The srs Crash sensor might also be disconnected.

 

Thanks for the reply. The SRS light comes on when I turn on the key ... so I assume it's working correctly. Are you saying the only way to disable the airbag is to disconnect it at the wheel? I will see if the bag is there and connected.

Yes that would be the only way unless you had the Dealer look at it and try to pull the codes.
