Default New rims

I have just ordered a set of new 17" rims for my 850. They are made by CSA (www.csadirect.com.au) and are called "AMP" They'll be put on in two weeks. What do you guys think?

Well the rim idea has been scrapped.......apparently you cant get the wheel lug bolts to suit them anywhere in australia. And my factory ones dont fit in the holes.

You could always get some aftermarket wheel nuts and just order a set of studs.

I've been thinking of doing it only because I hate the hassle of trying to reinstall the wheels with the bolts that come stock.

As for the bolt hole pattern you can get an adapter that would alter the spacing but usually most wheels can be ordered with our spacing.

If you were thinking of getting used and they were cheap enough an adapter would be an idea but for new I'd want to get the right pattern to bolt straight on.

The adapter is thinker and can allow the bolt hole circle to be bigger or smaller (pic 1), the spacer is thinner and just moves the wheel out a little (pic 2).
Only advantage with an adapter would be the offset you'd gain if you needed it.

That model rim is a nice design IMHO.

The rim is a direct fit for the 850....5x108 with a 45 offset.

It is illegal to use spacers on wheels here in SA, it voids your insurance, hence the choice of this one.

No one I have spoken to has the studs for them either, and there is nothing I can find on ebay suitable.
