I just got a 96 850 turbo wagon. Only problem with it is the air does want to work. The A/C Compressor won't kick on. The fuse is fine, the controls seem to work. Has anyone had this problem? Is there anything common as far as faults on the systems?

 

Freon level low?

The evaperators are known to leak.

 

I hooked up one of those quick charge bottles with the gauge on it. It was up to about 190 in pressure when it was ran for awhile. This morning it was around 70 which was still High. When I get to work tomorrow I might throw it in recovery and see if there is any freon on it and maybe throw it on vacuum and see if it leaks at all. (I work for a company that modifys carrier HVAC units).
