Maximum Spare Tire Size
Hello Everyone,
I've been reading you forum for a few months, and you all provide a great service. I have decided to get a '96 850 Turbo Sedan with 94K. My question is:
Has anyone tried to put a larger spare tire in the trunk? I wonder what the maximum size tire will fit in the well and still allow the carpet to cover it with no problem. I am no fan of the 'do-nut' tires, and my experience has been that if you can use a 'real' tire, even if smaller than the normal tires you are better off than the temporary, in case you get a flat at night a long way from where you can get service. I can experiment around with different tire/rim sizes myself, but wondered if anyone else had tried it?
Thanks,
Duke
