Default nother noob with a green bank vault - head issue...

Hey, all!

I've been trolling for a while looking for info on my 96 Sportswagon. I reeeeeeelllyy like that car but am having a challenge with oil use and smoke.

It looks like it'll need a valve job (190k) and I'm trying to locate the head casting number in order to get the right head from Clearwater.

Does anyone know where I should look for this number? The general consensus is that it's on the left side near the block, but I don't feel much like taking the entire intake system apart to find it...

Thanks for being available and sharing what you know!

Hi and Welcome to the forum. I moved your post to the 850 section so you can get some help with your issue.

If "Clearwater" is where you are getting the head from why not contact them to ask where on the head you can find the info they need ??

Or why don't you just re-use your existing head?

Make sure it's not the turbo shaft seal, PCV, or oil rings before you go pulling the cylinder head. It's quite a job.
