I just purchased my second Volvo 854. This time I got a 97 GLT so it has the light turbo. Previous one I owned for 6 years was a 93 GLT. I know quite a bit about that engine, but this one is a whole new beast in some aspects. With that said, I have ran into a problem with this car that I never had to deal with.

One of the two main problems I need to fix first.
The Odometer and speedometer are not working right now. I ordered a odometer gear for that fix, but the problem with the speedometer still remains. It works sometimes, first I thought the temp outside had something to do with it, but I don't think that anymore. I would def. like to see if I can clean up the sensor or something first, money is an issue. I also want to figure out how to fix this so I know if I need to do something behind the dashboard when I take it out to fix the odometer when I am doing that. I would also like to add that the Cruise Control doesn't work when the speedometer isn't working.

The other problem is the car is running rich, I dont even know where to start but I plan to do some more inspecting/researching before I tackle that.

No but the TRACS OFF light is on.

 

The ABS module might be bad.
