Newbie needs some help upgrading his s80's sound system
Whatsup Guys,
I am looking to upgrade the sound system, I have to change one front and one rear speaker as well because I blew them out, in my 2002 s80 2.9. I have about 150 bucks to spend, and would like to know what you guys think would work best for the car/price range I have.
Thanks

$150 is kind of pushing the limit. You need a dash kit, wiring harness, and actual headunit. The dash and harness retail (together) for $50. That leaves $100 for the sytem and speakers. My suggestion to you is to save up a little more (about $250-300 total) and you will be able to get a decent HU and speakers. Keep in mind that if you aren't installing this yourself, installation will be anywhere from $50-100.

if u wanna upgrade, save up some more money. for 150 you can get a very nice HU at best buy. it is by Dual and is 220 watts with 4 channels. comes with remote and detachable face that slides down. even when i had just that head unit it definitely upped the quality of my sound.

Even with free installation, you still need all of the parts. For $150, you can get a mediocre head unit. It depends what you need. MP3, bass, etc. What functions and things like that. I would start buying things when you have about $250 and then you could get the harness, dash, and decent HU.
