Now that I have addressed most of the major things on the car, I have an oil leak that I am pretty sure is coming from my oil pan. The bottom of the pan is covered from side to side in oil, and everything above the oil pan is bone dry.

How much of a pain in the rear is redoing the oil pan gasket? Anyone here done it before that can give me some pointers? I know I need the liquid gasket - I still have plenty of that left from doing my cam swap...

While I'm in there, I will probably do the sump o rings as well. I think this is the kit that I need for that:

Anything else I will need besodes this kit and the liquid gasket sealer to do the job right?

 

It is a pain in the %$#@*&. Tech has a write up on it in the frequently used threads - helpful information sticky. I think it is number 21 on the list.

 

Clean it good first and be 100% sure it is the pan first!
The oil pans will not leak unless they were removed once before and not sealed good.

 

By chance did you replace/repair the PCV system recently?? Ck directly below the PCV cannister on front of engine block below the intake manifold..
