850 rea view mirror

received replacement mirror but there appear to be no threads in the replacement piece

? do I need self tapping screws?

yes- ended up slowly screwing old screws into new mounts and they

"tapped themselves"- all seems ok now but I wish instuctions had been a bit more clear.

Mirror works great.
