Hello, this is my first post here. I'm getting around to doing the pcv system on my wagon. I'm just not sure which variation of the kit I need to order, before I spend a decent chunk of money on the parts. If someone could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. My car is a 1995, 850, GLT, Non turbo, automatic transmission, the vin is YV1LW5535S2147315, and the engine serial number is 470884.
Where are you shopping? I looked and IPD only offers one version, but maybe it has a lot of extra parts so that it always works.
FCP, I don't know why you wouldn't just believe them. Lots more money. If you look in the ECU box I believe it says on there which version of the engine controls you have, but it sure looks like the first one 538763 is the only one that would apply to your car, due to the manual transmission and engine number callouts on the other kits. You can see that they throw in a spare flame trap in that picture, and there's obviously a spare hose to the top of the engine (there are two of them). I think there are some spare elbows here too (rather a lot), in addition to the one that is already installed on that vent hose assembly. You might run into a connection at the pot inlet that is different from what is shown here, but I don't think you'd need to worry about that when ordering a kit. I hope not anyway.
I believe your particular car has a line that connects directly to the intake manifold on the passenger's side of the intake manifold. That is part of the very top item in this picture. Toward the left.
So, comparing this to the cheaper IPD kit, you don't see the assemblies of multiple parts as much, but I think it all still works. I'm not trying to malign their kit. They only have one flame trap, so you have to presume that is the right one. If I ordered that and that one part didn't fit, I'd probably put the old one back on and then complain to them later. I don't know that there really even are two different versions or why FCP has two.

Sorry for the late reply, and think you for your help! I think I'm going to go with FCP euros kit. When I did my glove test it doesn't seem to want to inflate or deflate the glove. It's just kind of neutral blowing the glove in and out slightly, so I think I'm on borrowed time. I plan on getting this job done over the winter, any suggestions or tips would be appreciated!
Thanks again, Dean
