Default oxygen sensor wrench

I see IPD sells one and I am going to replace the front and rear, but do I NEED this wrench? Or can I get away with getting brutal with regular pliers? It's not the money so much as FCP sells all the tune up stuff cheaper and I don't want to wait on a special socket if I don't have to. Thanks.

Auto Zone sells one for around $15. You can also rent it for free. You give them $15 and if you return it you get your money back. I just bought mine for some reason.

unfortunately there's no autozone in hawaii. We Checkers though, so I guess I could check them, but was it helpful to have?

Yes. I don't know how you would get to it w/o the wrench. You would need to makeshift some kind of socket that keeps it's strength and lets the wired pass through it. That sucker is tight and not that easy to get to.

I only replaced my front O2 sensor and I didn't see a need to buy the tool. The rear O2 might be a different story though. If I was going to buy the tool, a local parts store is probably the way to go.
