Default Need advice on Torque Wrench

I want to buy torque wrench/s to be able to work on cars (home mechanic, brave enough to venture into this, engineer by qualification). I need advice on what sizes/types/makes/price/quality I should consider. I want to be wise in my purchase.

PS: Tech, need your feedback for sure.

You will need to get a 3/8 drive and a 1/2 drive.I would get the 3/8 drive in inch pounds. And get the 1/2 drive in foot pounds. That will do everything you need to do.As for the brand I would go with either SK or Snap-on.Snap-on costs about double of what the SK does and is as reliable.I forget what I paid for mine but I think it was about $50.00 to $75.00.Good luck in finding your tools.
