I cant believe I am saying this butI am seriously beginning about parting out my 1997 850r. I am close to $1600 deep into repairs and still cant seem to figure out the problem and neither can a volvo specialty shop. How much would I be able to get out of the car parting it out. Body and interior is in great shape. Volan wheels with a full size spare. What are my biggest ticket items?

Where are you located? The tough part about parting a car out is the shipping. It's a pain. I assume that car is black? I would probably want a few things. Is it a wagon or sedan?

 

I am in Annandale,VA which is right outside of DC and I wouldnt mind shipping. Yes the car is black inside and out. All in working order and it is very clean. Ofcourse I am sure you are aware of my mysterious partial non-start issue from another thread. . Let me know what you need. All I am really trying to do is get my $2500 back that I have put into this car which should be easy.

You may be able to sell it for $2,500 since it's clean. Heck, don't be to proud to take a little loss and get most of your money back. I wish I were closer. If you do decide to part it out I may get a few odds and ends from you.

 

I just picked up a 1997 R and could use some parts.

If you decide to part it I could use; Steering wheel and Fog light housings.

How much do you figure the volan rims are worth? How do the tires look?

 

Man, this thread is almost a year old. If he still has the Volans they are likely free. Come to think of it, I got a free set once, with newish tires.

 

You might sell something if we could see what you have.
