Hi, recently the cover that is over the passenger-side frontal airbag in the car has been peeling up.

Anyway I'm wondering a few things:

1. Does this affect the way the airbag will deploy in the event of a crash.
2. Is there a way to re-attach the cover so it does not stick up.
- And if there is, will reattaching it then affect the deployment?

 

Mine is doing the same thing, I hope you get an answer. I thought I read somewhere on here that you could glue it. Unfortunately I can not find the thread now, I will keep searching.

 

Should be able to glue it down w/o issue but take that with a grain of salt.

I am pretty sure the bag deploys out the front of that assembly; to be sure i would peruse a junkyard in the hopes of seeing one that has deployed to verify...
