Default Perfo's vs Colubias

Were all v/s70's produced with perfos?

and ALL 850's with columbias?

For example if someone says columbias off an s70, is that possible?

(because perfo's clear 302 brakes)

thanks

Why not? Could be possible if they're not original to the car. See it all the time.

Sorry if there was a confusion, but I meant that it is not possible for a S70 to come with columbias from the factory, wasn't really thinking about the whole clearance thing with the brakes part.

I know, but I'm just saying, I've seen lots of cases of people advertising "Perfos from S70!" but they're Columbas because they're almost identical and were switched at one point. Just make sure your buying a Perfo is all.

Since you brought up the 302 brakes, I was at IPD last week buying the gear to fix my odometer and ask about 302 brakes and my Columbia's. The comment was IPD 302 brake kit says...it does not work with 16" wheels.

Now I know some of you have done this upgrade and I think you run 16" wheels. Did they fit? Did you buy IPD's kit, or get the parts some other way? What wheel types in 16" works? I have heard the 16" Columbia's can work if you grind some on the caliper.

Looking for more responses please.

PS: didn't mean to highjack this, just seemed this is the direction it was going and this topic is on my mind as my front brakes are about due for repair.

Perfos, Meteors, and one other wheels works with 302s. Columbas fit with grinding of the caliper "veins" at the top of the caliper.

thanks for clearing everything up.

Im looking for a set of perfos, i guess the only way to know for sure is a test fit. Someone told me columbias off an s70... they probably didnt know better.

Well, columbas and perfos although similar, do look different. More or less, just don't buy them blindly. Look at what you're buying.
