Power Antenna don't retract when using Alpine CD Changer
OK, people know my old 97 850 GLT and give me lots of help already.
Just noticed an interesting thing, the power antenna won't retract if the radio is using Alpine CD Changer when shut off.
I have to switch the radio to FM/AM to retract antenna when shut off.
Curious if any one has the same problem.
I remember I soldered the CD changer adaptor yellow wire to ACC+, the 12V switched power.
maybe the Alpine CD Changer won't ask my SC-816 to retract the antenna.

Well, I tired hook the yellow wire from adaptor to the blue-white antenna power+.
The cd changer seems to respond to electricity pulses and won't play music.
The antenna retracts when keep radio at cd changer.
Even worse than using the ACC+.

i dont think you fully understood what i ment...
take the wire directly from the antenna and put it to the BLUE wire on the radio (not blue/white). the blue wire turns on when the radio is on, and off when the radio it off. thus the antenna will go up when the radio is on and down when the radio is off....
