Default Power Loss Issue

About a month ago I had just left work and on the highway my car lost power for about 5 seconds, then regained power and was fine. Well, today after about an hour of driving it did the same thing to me twice. I am a little worried that the next time it won't regain power, or worse that someone might rear end me. Anyone know what could be the cause?

too many variable, too many sensors...does the check engine light come on? that is your starting point.

Yes, definitely look for a check engine light. If no light, a reasonable place to start would be the fuel filter and vacuum lines.

I would pull codes, some codes can stay within the ECU without triggering CEL.

Also, when was the last time you gave it a good tune-up? And what items had been done? Any other conditions we need to be aware of? Every bit of info helps narrow down the problem.

Will wait for your reply.
