l got into an accident today guys. l was getting into the left lane to make a left on an intersection right after getting gas. before the light turns green the driver right in front of me gave me the go ahead to get in front of him in order to get to the left lane. a stupid driver was driving real fast and before l got onto that lane and l hit him on his side doors. his cars side door was pretty damaged. his had a big dent. all l had was a scratch and a broken left signal cover. the signal light didnt break, just the plastic. thank Goodness.

 

Glad to see it was minor, but never trust someone waving you in...they might not see everything going on at the time. It's a common thing to happen. And easy to go for it because someone is being nice on the road....which isn't always the case these days.

 

Not being a jerk, but I don't understand your story. If the guy in the far left lane(i.e. where you had to make the turn) was waving you in. Then you would have been crossing multiple lanes of traffic. No offense, but it does seem like your fault. Either by not judging the other cars speed or not completely aware of your surroundings. Like I said. No offense intended. But how you wrote the scenario, I imagine you crossing @ least 2 lanes of traffic to get in the left turn lane. And While that might be red, it doesn't mean the forward traffic light isn't green. (just saying by your description, that is how I picture it) None the less, glad you were not injured and got away with a minor scrape.

 

its a three lane street.the driver who waved me was in the middle lane.l was going to make a left turn at the traffic light.but before making a left turn,l had to get on the last lane that turns left.when l got in front of the driver who waved me to cross over to the last lane a guy came running in front of me with a high speed.l hit on my brakes but my bumper hit his side door.he could have braked if he wasnt going fast at a red light. Its on red so he was supposed to slow down.he said he didnt me and l didnt see him either cuz the driver who waved at me was in the middle and blocked my view.also both of us was tryng to make a left turn.but hey all that matters is am still alive and can still get to ride in my volvo.

 

Yeah absolutely. Like I said, I wasn't trying to come across as a jerk. I was more trying to visualize your scenario. Now I see what you mean. I see it every day. Some idiot who keeps accelerating until their 15 feet from the red light. And by no means was I placing judgement on your driving either. Thats why they call them accidents. **** happens. The good news is that no one was injured. And the upshot is that marker lights are cheeeeeeap!

 

Some guy hit me like that before, I tried to swerve left to avoid his impact but couldn't because he didn't see me coming. The speed limit was 35 or something like that and I was going about 30.

It happens. If you have to get insurance companies involved, and your deductable is less than $1,000, you mid-as-well have them write you a check to fix your car too.
