I think Volvo is the most badass car maker and I saw a really nice looking car on craigslist for cheap the only thing is that it was in a crash which basically took out the Hood, lights, bumper, fenders, windshield and probably radiator support. Air bags both went off. Car runs, just has no coolant in system. No apparent damage to drivetrain. Tires wheels good. So It looks like if I can repair those problems Ill have a really nice car since it only has 114,000 on it and transmission only 50,000. it is Running. Other than the obvious front end damage, car is in excellent condition. Interior is perfect. Tan leather.

It seems like a pretty good car if I can fix it up. If I can get this car for about $400-$500 do you guys think this would be a good buy? I have no mechanical experience but Id like to learn. It looks like this might be a good first car to work on what do you think?

 

I'd probably pass on that deal myself. You could spend another grand and get one in nice shape that you DON'T have to fix a bunch of stuff on. To replace the stuff you are gonna need to replace to make the car whole, you're probably going to spend 2 grand if you buy new parts.
