I have a 97 850 GLT and I was wondering what size turbo they come with and one of my friends has a turbo he had on his vw jetta gli and he swapped it out for a bigger turbo and i was wondering if a turbo from his car would fit my volvo because i can probably get a better price from his then buying it new or used off line or something. Or if someone could give me a link to a site that tells me the specs for the OEM turbo for the 850 glt. Any help would be appreciated.

I actually did google it and got nothing really, found out the turbo went out in my car and was going to check out a aftermarket turbo or something and i'm just not sure what the specs are for the turbo so I can make sure the one I buy will fit right with the rest of the fittings.

 

What it came with and what you have might be two different things. Best thing to do is get in there with a mirror and a light and get the numbers off the ID plate so you know what it is you physically have in there.
