Hi Everyone,
We are having a problem with our stock radio in a 96 850. It isn't turning on anymore. For a week or so it was still turning on, but it would take more and more time. For example, the first we noticed the problem it didn't produce sound (the screen lit up with the station number) for 5 minutes after being turned on. The second time, maybe 30 minutes, the third an hour or two and now it doesn't come on at all.
Any ideas?

 

These radios are relatively cheap clarions; they eventually just die. Not worth fixing.

If you're lucky you can find a working one at JY for $20-$40, or decent aftermkt ones start at $100 on up.

 

Really? I thought they were Alpines???

 

try pressing in the spring loaded clips on either side and pull the radio out a bit.
Mine started working when I did that..
