So, my car idles pretty crappy most of the time, basically it idles alright, but when im driving, im accelerating, clutch in, the RPM doesnt drop.. for a while. Sometimes, it goes up when i clutch in.

I have a feeling its vaccume related.. any other thoughts?

 

Sticky throttle body?

 

Either that or a sticky throttle cable....?
Or IAC may need some cleaning

 

MAtt01, mine does too. I read Lucky talking about it with tunes and how long to have it hang. I would guess its adjustable. My ARD tune hangs longer than my IPD tune. The IAC will do the same thing though so MattyXXL has a point. If its always done that since the manual swap then thats probably how it is. If it has changed then probably a part.

 

So, just a question, not trying to jack this tread but, are there not any manual T5's from Volvo OEM? 850's I mean.

 

well, i have a stock ECU right now, and probably what you guys are referring to is the auto-manual tune. I find that when you put an auto tune in a manual car it lingers a little..

I even bought a second IAC and changed it after cleaning my original one didnt help. Maybe i'll give it a second look.

Maybe i'l disconnect the battery and let the car reset itself, maybe that's all it is..


I live in canada, so my car is an 850 AWD, they all came in manual, but there are also T5 + R's in canada original manual.
