Re-installing factory cargo pet barrier net that unreels?
When I got my '97 850 wagon, it came with a black net sitting in the cargo area. I looked in the owners manual, and I learned this past weekend that it actually unreels from the back seat and is kept in place by two clips to the sides of the roof headliner. Somehow the P.O. took it out and now it's just sitting in the cargo area. The holding clips are still in the headliner, but I have no clue as to how to put the roller/net assembly back into the desginated space on the back seat. The dealer where I got the car from has no clue either. Any help appreciated.
Thanks

Still unable to put the net back after all this time. I'm having trouble removing the seats "end-caps" as they're held in place by some sort of push-in? pins. Are there any instructions/thread/photos on how to install this thing?
Dealer wants an arm and a leg to install it back.
Any help appreciated.

There are 2 ring clips just aft of the back door pillars, one on each side. There are another set of the ring clips on the forward edge rear seat handles (against the lights). When the seats are folded down, the net attaches to the ring clips on the handles, when the seats are upright, the net attaches to the rear ring clips.
So I wanted to add the cargo nets to my '94 850 wagon and today I went to my local LKQ yard (highly recommend they didn't even charge me for nets!). So after doing research I had a pretty good idea on how to remove the nets. It requires a little destruction but it isn't that hard.
The nets are compatible with '94-97 850's and '98-00 V70/XC
Step 1: find car with nets
Step 2: fold seat back and remove screws on inner side of seats(2)
Step 3: on the side closer to the doors find the little circular shaped plugs near the seatbelt
Step 4 (the destructive step): take a drill or screw driver and pull out the plugs
Step 5: move cover and take flathead screwdriver and pry off metal washer
Step 6: push rod inwards and remove nets
Step 7: remove hooks in ceiling
Installing
Step 1: remove two screws holding inner cover and put aside
Step 2: make sure the nets are fully rolled up and slide in
Step 3: open flip covers and slide rod into hole on outer side of seat
Step 4: rotate end plate a few times to build up tension
Step 5: rotate end plate a little more until it moves further into compartment and let go to make sure it doesn't unroll
Step 6: reattach end plates and you are done!
I will take pictures of the steps and share them when I can return to a yard
