Default Refrigerator

Ok so I don't know if you guys have gone on the volvo website and seen the new S80, but one of the features is that there is a refrigerator in the trunk.

It is located behind the rear armrest in the middle (where the access hatch to the trunk is in the 850).

Just wondering, who thinks putting a fridge like that in the 850 would be a cool mod?

If you can put it to good use, it would be a cool mod in any car. If it is just to say, "Hey, I have a mini fringe in my car", then it might not be worth it.

Meh, I think it's cool, but yeah, unless your going to use it, that's a lot of work. Plus, I don't know where your going to find a unit to put back there, and then you'll probably loose use of the fold down seats, something I could never do without.

if your going to use it, sweet. if its just going to sit there, useless.

i know its cool/handy to get right from the back seat. but it might be more effective (space wise) to put it in the corrner of the trunk and make a nice mounted box for it.

Yeah, it didn't occur to me that you would lose the functionality of the folding seats, which is also something I don't want to lose.

Still think it would be a cool mod for someone that doesn't mind losing that though, and I'd love to see pictures if anyone ever does it.

It would be great for me because I do construction and don't always have access to one to keep food in.

To bad you could not put it where the arm rest is, between the two front seats. That would be awesome and a lot more useful.
