Tech is not on the board very often any more, but I'm pretty the five times turning the ignition is only for programming the remotes. So it will not reset your alarm.

 

So I appear to have a somewhat simular issue that I need to debug on my 94. I purchased a control unit and key fobs from a member. Mine had the control unit, but no FOBs. I tried to program the FOBs without luck so I swapped out the control unit while working on the squeaky blower motor which is another story for another thread.

Got it all back together. Before I swapped out the control box the following worked.

- Lock and unlock all doors from the drivers door key
- Lock and unlock all doors from the drivers inside door lock ****.
- Trunk locks and unlocks with either of the 2 methods to lock the doors above
- DASH LED never lit or blinked

- Swapped out control box
- NEG cable back on
- With remote doors unlock but will NOT lock with either FOB.
- Batteries check out fine.
- DASH LED still never lights.
- Doors still lock/unlock with key or drivers door lock ****.

Now what do I chase?
