Removing seats with side airbags
I would like to pull both my front seats to remove years of accumulation of junk that have fallen between the seats and the console.
I fished a few items out today while I had the console out trying to fix a faulty window switch.
Are there any precautions I must take, considering my car has airbags in the side bolsters of the seats?
Obviously, it would ruin my day if while removing the seat, the airbag deployed...

With the car off (and preferably battery disconnected) reach under the front of the seats and find the plugs that go to the wiring that comes up from the floor. Unplug heated seats, airbag, and seat power plugs. Unbolt seats - there are (4) 14mm bolts that hold each seat in place.
Show and tell. This is on a V70, can't remember if the lock out tag on my 850 was different. I thought it was and it was yellow but could be the drugs.

The airbag in the seat of the 850 is NOT powered. It has a mechanical trigger on it. When you pull up on the side of the seat trim, there is a trigger guard clipped inside of the plastic trim piece. Remove it from the trim and install it on the trigger.
