replace dead battery now it cranks wont start
i went to start my car the other day,it cranked over very slowthen it went dead shortly after .i tried to give a jump from my other car nothing, so i replaced the battery. still crank over no start.i checked only for spark ,and i had no spark .....my question is, could it possibly be my alarm that is cuasing this problem from the battery being dead and how dose the alarm system disables the engine from starting . is it a no crank disable feature or a crank but no start feature

It should still crank after the alarm has been set off.

One day it switched off normally without anysign of trouble - andabout two days laterwouldonly crank over but won't start.
Installing a new battery made no difference whatsoever.
I must admit I haven't had a chance yet to check out what the problem may be- so I've simply gone back to driving the older, butmore predictable,Volvo 240.
