Replaced MAF, still idling rough/stalling at stop
Hi folks,
After poring over this forum when my '96 850 would start and die out, i pulled and replaced my MAF (easy peasy). However, I'm still running a little rough--she stalls out when I'm at a stop sign or a red light. The problem is intermittent but I want to make sure I did the job right.
I have a fuel pump relay on order from eBay because I hear they frequently go bad on cars that old.
Any suggestions?

Symptoms of the fuel pump relay would also include low engine power/car won't rev (ie the relay doesn't allow enough current to the pump to create full pressure but may have enough current to start or idle rough) or the behavior changes as the relay warms up. You didn't mention and engine codes so my next question is when did you last do the plugs/wires/rotor&cap? I'd be suspicious of vacuum leaks for starters if the car seems to have reasonable power.

I have an OBDII reader on order and as soon as I get it I'll pull the codes. I just got the car in August, and naturally things start acting up as soon as it starts getting cold here in MN.
I'll get back to you when I can pull those codes. I don't know when the plugs and wires were done, though.
Thanks!
