Replacement of rear shocks and brakes -- Straightforward
I just replaced the rear shocks and brakes -- pads and rotors -- on my son's '95 850. I finished in about two hours using just hand tools, a floor jack and some jack stands. And I'm in no way a master mechanic, or even a gifted amateur. The instructions in the Haynes manual were completely sufficient.
Tomorrow I tackle the front brakes, passenger axle and struts.

Front struts, link rods and spring bushings took about three hours with interruptions. Didn't get to the front brakes due to other commitments.
The axle I received from eeuroparts was the "staked nut" variety, which is for the '94, not the '95. I'll finish next weekend, I suppose.
