Default Replacement relay brands

My daughter's 95 850T stalled while driving in town - restarted and it fired right up for about 5 seconds then stalled again. Waited about a minute, restarted and the car ran fine for the rest of the day. Since I can't replicate the fault and she lives 50 miles away, my sense is to just replace the FI relay and the fuel pump relays as preventative maintenance. The KAEs are fairly low cost via EEuroparts.com ($20+$30) where Genuine Volvo and Stribel (who I think is the Volvo OEM supplier) go for $40+50. Any opinions on KAEs for replacement relays?

If there are no DTC's, it could be the fuel pump relay if there is no fuel pressure in the fuel rail. If the relay is bad, its usually an indication that the pump is on its way out by drawing too much current to run. If you pop the cover off of the relay, you would see if its overheating - if it is - plan on a fuel pump also.

Other common item is if there is no spark is the cam position switch - but usually there will be a DTC for this guy.

I can check with my Hella supplier and see if they have anything listed for a relay and send it to ya at cost in the case that they do if you'd like. I deal with a wholesaler, so its usually a good deal. Or, give Wil a call at rallylights.com and tell him Brian sent ya, they'll take good care of you

Tim, can you confirm the OEM part number for the fuel pump relay as 9434225?

My daughter stopped by the house the other day so I wound up dropping in a KAE that a local parts place had in stock. So far no repeat occurrences - took the car today for a 30 minute drive in 90+ heat with no probs so that's a good sign.
