My moldings that go up beside the windshiled and down the roof look like crap. I did a search on the forums and could find nothing. Is there anything that can be done to make them look good besides ordering new ones from the dealer at $120 a piece??? A friend told me to just take a razor blade and cut off the peeling plastic, just leaving the bare amuminum underneath. I've thought of doing this but all the rest of the trim is black. Also thought about cutting off the plastic and then trying to paint them but getting the masking tape to stick on the 1/4 inch wide little rubber strip along either side will never work. It'd be great if some company would refurbish them. Any ideas or experience is helpful.

u can razor them off and paint them flat black or grey...
