Volvo 850 Made from 1993 to 1997, this Volvo line was available in both a wagon and a sedan, both with were graced with several trim levels.

S70 engine in 850???

Default S70 engine in 850???
Is it possible to fit an engine from a s70 t-5 into a 1995 volvo 850, a friend has the 850 and wants to buy a s70t5 engine and transmission to replace the original.

I'm pretty sure you will be ok with a 98 S70 T5, but not positive. I think you will run into problems when you go 99 or newer though. Wait for somebody with more knowledge than me though before doing anything.
