Default Problems w/ 2000 Volvo S70 Engine Swapped with 2002 Volvo S60 Engine

So I had a 2000 Volvo s70 non-turbo w/ 180k+ miles and the heater core went out which caused the engine to overheat, which in turn blew the head gasket and who knows what other damages occurred. We decided to just swap out the engine instead of going in and trying to replace the head on an engine close to it's end of days (especially after driving it hot and blowing the gasket). Of course, we replaced the heater core.

We came across a good deal on a 2002 Volvo s60 non-turbo engine with only 80k miles on it and decided to go for the swap. After the swap, engine runs fine for the first 10-20 seconds after start-up, but then begins to stall as if it's misfiring. OBDII codes P0328, P0339, P0336 are being read, which when checked refer to the knock sensor and the crank position sensor.

Any ideas on what I can do to fix this problem? If I'm in deep, I'd really appreciate the honesty!

Did you swap all of the sensors from the 2000 to the 2002? Did you change the timing belt? If you changed the timing belt there is a specific procedure for setting the pre-load on the intake cam for the variable valve timing to work correctly. If the pre-load isn't correct it will cause the range error on the intake cam.

At the moment the car is using the '02 s60 knock sensor and the '00 crank position sensor (CPS).

The '00 CPS is being used due to the fact that '02 s60 sensor required a harness that was different than the '00 s70 (which was just a wire connected to the sensor, no harness).

We did change the timing belt, not sure if we followed the procedure you're referring to. Need to go home and ask. (My dad's the mechanic, I'm his helper, so I need to double check with him.) If he didn't, do you have any sources to make sure we set the pre-load correctly?

I'll also get pics of both harnesses posted, in order to help you understand better the difference between the two CPS sensors. As we speak, we're swapping out the knock sensor (taking out the '02 s60 and putting in the '00 s70), clearing the codes, restarting, and seeing if the knock sensor code comes up again.
