Default S70 gauge cluster swap questions.

I've seen this swap done. but, does the odometer read correctly after a swap?

It reads what ever was on it when it was pulled from the other car.

Yeah the odo reads whats stored on it.. you can find one that is close to yours, or you have two other options.

1. Bring the car to the dealer with the new cluster installed, have them verify the mileage on your ecu and then program the mileage on the cluster. They can do it as long as the miles are going up not back so make sure the cluster you get has lower mileage. They usually charge between $75 and $150 for this.

2. Bring your car to the dealer before you install the cluster have them certify the mileage on the car, install the cluster and then being it back and have them do a cluster replacement certification. they will give you a paper saying that the cluster was replaced at XXXXXX miles and the new cluster reads XXXXXX will be considered 0. Which then need to be stamped by your states DMV.

the first option is the best, Ive had this done 4 times, and its worth it..

A few tips when it comes to 70 cluster swaps;

the only 850's that can accept 70 clusters are 96 & 97 because of the signal sent from the ABS module.

only 98 70 clusters will work.

Go for the V70R cluster the blue faces are pure sex..
