http://standardautowreckers.net/asp/...ls.asp?s=BD384

i can take hood, fender, hinges, the front bumper trim only the trim cuz i want the fog holes so i may have to try and reuse my old one atleast for a bit, whole back bumper(yes that needs to be replaces too ), corner light, radiator support

Keep in mind though that that car is white, that's not a platinum. So it will match-ish.

honestly tho i would rather have that white as opposed to like a black/blue/red even if it doesnt match 100% ok its all good it will be close enough, atleast for the winter after the winter fresh paint job and by the looks of it, every part i need is still in tact so its better then wat i have at the moment anyway

True that! I thought you were saying that it was the same color car and you were going to swap the panels and leave it that way. Now I feel reassured that your still going to paint it.

Nah, if you get white panels, bet you most people won't even notice. Especially during winter when cars are always dirty.

ok so updates on this baby!, i spent all day yesterday getting parts and putting it back together and now she looks OK its never gunna be the same so its ok, but my alignment is HUGELY off, i think my right side suspesion is messed up, there sounds to be an air leak uner the hood, one of my pulleys is making a weird noise ( not the ac one i tihnk its the very top one) and tas about it, but it doesnt feel like the same drive or anything so i'm sad, BUT i found a mint body 97 850 t5 and i think i'm gunna pick that up he says that it broke down this week, but i will revive that one, put everything i did to mine into that one and sell my PE for parts, its wats best for her

i would have just hit the ******* that cut you off, probably would have done less damage, and it would have taught that idiot a lesson.

the way i look at it, i would have rather have hit the wall, becasue 1 its a rear hit, nomatter wat its my fault SOOO i would have to pay for his damage( mind u it was a benz) + my damage + reported to insurance, sooo much havic

here i hit the wall, spent 160$ on every part i needed to make it driveable, its not perfect and its never going to be, bt i didnt report anythign to insurance nothing jsut 160$ and a driveable car

and gilber33, yea thats wat it looks like, this 97 850 t5 he says broke down this week, i'm pretty sure its a minor thing, or has somthing to do with the 300k motor, but regardless i'm already down to buy it and good to go on a swap if anything, but thats basically my plan, get this 97, take everything out of my 96 that ive done to it so far put it in, make the 97 beautiful and sell the rest of 96 as scrap/parts to get/make money on her its wats best!

There you go. i would pretty much swap everything from your Platinum and put it into the T5, motor and all. And there the same "generation" so everything will swap right over.

go to your local high school and see if they have an automotive department, if they do, they will probably do it for free as a class project. But it will take a bit longer than a shop would

If you can, definitely do it yourself. Rent a cherry picker from somewhere and have at it. I got a feeling that someone will charge you a TON to do a motor swap. That's a lot of labor and hours that they can charge you for.

okie dokes, the red car is in my garage now

andddd she wont start, picked it up for cheap! with a lot of brand new parts on it, soooo where to begin my diagnostic on why it wont start, apaprently ( i have yet to check for myself) everything major has been changed, the spark plugs, the wires, the ignition coil, all that jazz, and now it all of a sudden just stopped, aswell there is a remote starter involved and i'm goign to disable that asap and get it back to stock! but as of right now i have nothing but an 92% decent looking 97 854 t5 sitting in my garage (h)

I would check all of the fluids and what not. My wagon was similar, 300k miles, owners said they drove it home, it sputtered and then died in their driveway and wouldn't start after that. When me and my dad investigated further, we checked the oil, and for having been sitting for close to a year, it was pretty clean and full, once we had the battery fully charged, we cranked it a few times and it started. We're thinking they ran it dry of oil, and then added some when we wanted to look at it.
