I have a 97 850 glt waiting for head to return from machine shop. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it is a good idea to use anti-seize on head bolts along with engine oil when re-installing the head. Also, is it necessary to coat the misc. gaskets with sealant to get a proper seal. Been building, racing and driving just about anything with wheels for 50+ years and this is first Volvo. Any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks

I would think anti-seize would be fine but I would not put oil on them. You so not want them to loosen up on you.
