Default brembo vs oem brake rotors

so, im about to swap out the cheapie rotors i got on sale for some OEMs or brembos. when i had an integra and h22 accord, i had slotted/drilled brembo rotors on both and never heard a squeal from them (and i did some pretty aggressive braking, especially when at the track).

however, the cheapies i got about a month ago have already begun to squeal. im going to relube the backs of the pads and possibly the caliper piston. also, when i get going, it sounds like something is rubbing (which probably caused the glaze on the rotors i swapped out).. like the brakes slightly rubbing on the rotor...

what causes this? is it time to replace the calipers? for actual pads, im going to use OEM brake pads, but had questions about the rotors and what might be causing the noise im now hearing.

I'm running DRT rotors and hawk HPS pads and have NO noise issues. For me, this pad/rotor has been great. very predictable braking, very little dust, and no noise at all.

I'm running the slotted rotors. They'll do them slotted, cross drilled, or both.

Best part of all was that I paid $145 for all 4 rotors shipped.

It's not your rotors or calipers that cause squeeling. The squeeling you hear is the vibration of your brake pads in the calipers. There is an anti-squeal fluid that goes on the back of your brake pads that prevents the squealing. There are also shims that you get to go on the backside of pads.

my repair manual shows the shims as optional. when i had the brakes serviced at brake check (yeah yeah i know), there were no shims in there and they replaced the hardware(i do my own brake work now).

i just lubed the back of the brake pads about an hour ago. i have a raid tonight, so ill be busy til 11. after that, im going to head to the corner store, air up the tires and see how the squealing is now.

You can't go wrong with either the OEM or Brembo Rotors. I had the brembos on a few cars and they were just as good if not better then the OEM rotors.
