Default Sedan vs Wagon

Seeing as how we started a little debate about the sedan and the wagon, lets just see what people's preferences are.

EVERYONE VOTE.

I dunno. Isn't it possible to like them both? Do we really have to declare one awesome and the other sucky? I have a wagon, which I mostly like but I wouldn't mind having a sedan instead or in addition to my wagon.

"Can't we all just get along?" rofl

I'm not saying that you can't like them both, lets say you were to go buy another 850 tomorrow, what would you get? And of course we can all get along. haha. I have a sedan and a wagon, I'm not saying sedans are sucky compared to wagons.

Besides, if you step out of your car with a big, fat gut smoking a cigarette and wearing Crocks what difference will it make? heh

If they're plain orange then meh, no chance, but lets say they're camo, or maybe have a bunch little smiley faces, now we're talking.

No if you have a fat gut, smoke and wear crocs you're already a lost cause, even if you drive an 850 R.

I voted for the sedan, because . . . well, I like sedans better than wagons. That being said, I think Volvo has always had the best looking wagons and if, I repeat if, I was going to buy a wagon it would definitely be a Volvo.

Volvo does have 50% of the yearly wagon sales in the US.

I have 5 kids...we all fit in the wagon. Wagons are sleepers and more impressive when it comes to eye popping speed.

honestly, i kinda like the look of teh sedans a bit better, theyre also around 100 pounds lighter i think, not too much of a diff. but like boxpin said, wagons are very versatile, and make better sleepers too. theres nothing like pullin up to a ricer/beemer at a red light ina wagon, smokin him off the line and looking at the embarassment in his face when he realizes he just got beat by an "old person car"

True, I think all Volvos, the older ones at least, are prefect sleepers, but the wagon just has that look to it like, no way is that thing fast at all.

Are there figures as to how many 850 sedans and wagons they made for each year?

I have no idea. That's something that you would have to search, I only know about the yellow numbers and how many went where, that's about all I know.

I like the 850 sedan and wagon, but I would take the wagon over the sedan any day. Can't get plywood in the back of a sedan.

I would go with the sedan for the better ride quality. The rattles and general noisiness of the 850 wagons are annoying. Besides, I already have a Durango to haul all the crap around.

When I first got my 850 wagon, the rattles annoyed me. Now, I don't even hear them.
