Default Service Light Woes?

I read around the service manual and around the forums a bit and know that the lights supposed to turn off after 2 min, and its poss to reset yourself, however whenever i turn on/drive my 95 850 glt, the light flashes the entire time, it basically never turns off. My odometer/trip meter is broken and i was thinking it might be associated with it, or is it something more serious?

I just bought the 95 850 glt and had to have my odometer replaced (entire cluster, actually) and my service light is still on!

It means that the instrument cluster is having issues. This is happening with increasing frequency as the cars age.

The best fix is to take the service light out and forget about it. None of the other cluster functions seem to be compromised by whatever the service light problem is.

Agreed a problem in the cluster.
