There are several things that can cause the vibration. It could be as simple as a tire out of balance. If it still does that after the tires are balanced then it could also be a bad inner CV joint or even a bad hub.

Get the tires rotated and balanced and work from there.

Could also be a bad tire or loose lug nuts (worst case) I would rotate the tires putting the front ones on the back and vice versa. That should tell you if it is a tire or not

Well..I have shaking during acceleration and it starts at about 60 km/hr and then fades at little over 80km/hr. If you hit the gas paddle little hard, then it still reappears even at higher speeds. Any suggestions?

it could possbily be your drive axles. Also a good idea to check you ball joints and tie tods.

I have had a similar problem on a non-Volvo and it was a broken strut mount. Go over your suspension/steering components and make sure everything looks good.

I checked all the mounts and suspension parts. all look good other then 2 things.

1- One of the stabilizer bar link has little play - I will replace it this wekend.
2- the driver side has a noticable play between the tranny and CV shaft. which means that If I go in reverse after going forward, I hear a stump and can see the part of the CV shaft that goes into the tranny moving Up making that loud sound. Does this mean that I should get a new CV shaft or there is something wrong inside the transmission.
OR
Is this the wrong shaft becuase this was replaced last month from the scrap yard becuase the boots were gone on the original one.
Please HELP!

It was the innner CV joint on the driver side shaft. I replaced the shaft with a used one from a place called 'volvoguys' (volvo dismantellers) and this drives like a dream now.
