Simple 850 upgrades that I really enjoy...
Here is a list of little upgrades that I have done on my 850's that I have really enjoyed.
1. Tinted the windows. On my sedan and 960. Can't wait to get my wagon done.
2. Installed the VW (iPd) delay wiper relay controller. Allows me to set my delay time.
3. S70 window trim rails. They catch water that my 850 trim would let come in the car.
4. New floor mats. Very nice, iPd has high quality ones.
5. V70 tail lights on my wagon.
6. The Volvo premium sound system. Has the bump that sounds awsome. Out of a S90 (CD/Cassette).
7. Installed the HD motor mounts from iPd.
8. Forever Black trip dye. Good prep work goes a long way.
9. Install a ScanGauge II.
Things I want to do:
1. Install a window switch in my doors. I'm always reaching for my doors to roll the windows down. Grrrrr!
2. Install a cargo cover in the back.
3. Get a set of the '93 - '94 aluminum control arms.

upgrades
RSPI- I'll suggest one that I did that is wicked easy: I spliced a headphone line into the cassette circuit, (wire off an old pair of earbuds) ran it under the console, up into the center armrest compartment. With a dummy cassette, now I can play my MP3 (without wires dangling out of the cassette opening) through the stock stereo. If I could just learn how to work the MP3 player I'd be set! Dave

@ Dover: To be honest with you, I went about 4 years without playing a cd. When I got this wagon, it had a cd receiver and I sold it and installed the CD/CASSETTE receiver in it so that I could use my cassette adapter. I just have not taken the time to make the internal jack like you did. CD's are dead, just some people don't know it yet.

What allow me to lower the car to this:
Height adjustable struts/shocks. I can still go about 1.5" lower in the front, unfortunately, rears are all the way down, but I'll cut more coils out of the springs.
quail hoovers?

on a side note, for the chalk board paint what one did you use?
Both RobT5's and my hood came out streaky looking...

And it's the spray can stuff. Mine's somewhat streaky. Just gotta take your time, give it a few coats.
Why? I barely rub at all sitting like this, actually I don't think it's rubbed once being this low. The only time you would rub is like complete full lock, and how often do you do that? Just have to take your turns appropriately.

The best mods I have done to my car so far has been to upgrade the cassette player to a cd/casette combo one, and the addition of cruise control.
I have never seen a car as easy as this to fit the factory cruise control, all plug and play.
Now I just want to get my hands on the trip computer option for it.
And seeing as I have to replace my front bumper from the previous owner, gonna get a bumper with fog lights installed.

I did puddle lights: Bought two pairs of weatherproof LED strips and 3M taped them to the bottom of the doors, Theres a grommet down there that i ran the wire through and then just wired them into the existing lights on the back end of the doors. Took me about an hour and a half and its a really nice luxury touch.
